A vibrant event at the Whangarei Town Basin with an Arts Carnival featuring a treasure trove of unique, locally made art from talented Northland artists.

Free arts activities including pottery, painting, drawing, and other creative pursuits, Live Music and Street Performances.

Mermaid Bait will be playing 3x 30min sets around the Canopy Bridge. Come find us & dance with us!

Filmed over five years at Tapapakanga Regional Park during Splore Festival, multimedia artist Serena Stevenson presents a unique live music multimedia experience, with original score in collaboration with Michael Hodgson, Paddy Free (Pitch Black), Ed Zuccollo, Nikita Tu-Bryant, Dylan C, Arcus String Quartet, and Dr Opeloge Ah Sam’s Musika Collective (Choir).

Note: Mermaid Bait will be playing a set connecting the event into the afterparty at the Wintergarden post screening.
